MEN'S INDOOR SOCCER SEASON ENDS AT REGIONALS
The Grizzlies went 0-2-1 at the OCAA Group C Regionals on Wednesday in Toronto and were unable to crack top two in their pool.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's indoor soccer team competed at the OCAA Group C Regionals on Wednesday hosted by Seneca College in Toronto.
The Grizzlies competed in a pool of four teams with the top two finishing teams in the pool will move on to the OCAA Championships which takes place Mar. 22-24 hosted by Redeemer University College in Ancaster.
Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, it wasn't their day. Tthe Grizzlies were able to get an early result on the board with a 1-1 draw against the St. Lawrence Vikings to open the tournament.
Georgian then played two of the league's highly touted teams in the Seneca Sting and the Humber Hawks. The Grizzlies battled hard but were unable to get over the hump falling 3-1 to the Sting and 6-1 to the Hawks to close out their tournament.
With a 0-2-1 record the Grizzlies finished out of the top two of their pool and their season came to an end.
The Grizzlies will now shift their focus to a strong off-season. Georgian had a rookie heavy roster and will look to grow on the season that was with many returnees next season.
