MEN'S INDOOR SOCCER DRAW THREE TIMES AT HOST TOURNAMENT
The Grizzlies went 0-0-3 at the Georgian Invitational on Friday at the Bradford Sports Dome in Bradford, ON.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's indoor soccer team hosted the annual Georgian Invitational Tournament on Friday at the Bradford Sports Dome in Bradford.
The men's team didn't have much luck on their side.
Georgian opened their tournament with a 0-0 draw against the St. Lawrence-Cornwall Sharks. In their second game Georgian held a late lead from goals by Kyle Thompson (Barrie) and Kyle Green (Brampton) but in stoppage time the Sault Cougars were able to tie the game leaving the final result a 2-2 tie.
The Grizzlies came out strong again in game three but a late surge by the Lakehead-Orillia Thunderwolves tied the game in the final moments 2-2. Georgian finished the tournament with three draws, narrowly missing out on a berth in the finals.
Georgian will now anxiously prepare for the OCAA regionals which take place on Wednesday, Mar. 7 hosted by Seneca College where they will be competing to earn a spot at the OCAA Championships.
