CONNOR LARONDE NAMED OCAA SECOND TEAM ALL-STAR
Connor Laronde led the Grizzlies in points-per-game, minutes-per-game and total rebounds & is fifth on Georgian's all-time scoring list.
Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball player Connor Laronde has been named an OCAA east division second team all-star for his tremendous 2017-18 season.
The announcement was made Thursday morning at the awards banquet for the 2018 belairdirect OCAA Men's Basketball Championship hosted by Niagara College in Welland.
Laronde had his best season in a Grizzlies uniform leading the team averaging 19.7 points-per-game, minutes-per-game (31.3) and in total rebounds with 110. He also finished tied for third on the team in both steals and blocks.
The Barrie native finished in the top ten in league scoring in eighth place overall, setting a new career high with 394 total points.
In his three seasons at Georgian, Laronde has scored a total 862 points and sits in fifth place on the Grizzlies all-time scoring list.
