GRIZZLIES WITH BIG ROAD WIN OVER LANCERS
Michael Chao was on fire scoring a team high 18 points to lead the Grizzlies to a big 85-68 road win on Friday in Belleville.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team headed on the road for the first time this season to take on the Loyalist Lancers on Friday night in Belleville, ON.
The Grizzlies rebounded well after their first loss of the season last week.
Georgian used their high-tempo offence and hardworking defence to their advantage capitalizing on 26 Loyalist turnovers leading to an 85-68 victory.
Michael Chao (Newmarket) had his scoring touch in this game going 7-for-9 from the field along with leading the team in free throws in a team high 19 point effort.
Johnathan Edwards (Brampton) was also key to the Grizzlies offence with 18 points and six assists.
The win moves the Grizzlies to a solid 3-1 record on the season.
The Grizzlies will continue their road trip on Saturday afternoon when they take on the St. Lawrence Vikings in Kingston.
Georgian will return home for a much hyped game against the Durham Lords on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Tickets are available for $5 at the door with tip-off scheduled for 8 p.m.
