GRIZZLIES FALL TO DURHAM IN PHYSICAL MATCHUP
The Grizzlies and Lords got heated on Tuesday night but it was Durham who prevailed at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The Grizziles hosted the Durham Lords in what was a heated affair between the two rivals on Tuesday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The two teams had lots on the line as both are trying to find a way into a playoff position.
Unfortunately in this game it was the Lords who got the lead at the start and never looked back.
Things were competitive throughout as an altercation in the third quarter saw several players from both teams ejected, but in the end it was Durham who came away with an 83-62 victory.
Anthony Meggo (Whitby) led the Grizzlies with a season high 28 points while teammate Connor Laronde (Barrie) had 11 points in a physical effort.
The loss puts the Grizzlies in a very tough spot.
With one game remaining in their schedule they will need a victory over Canadore on Friday night on the road to give them an outside shot of making the playoffs through a potential tiebreak scenario.
