SZENT-IVANY TIES FOR FIRST WHILE PORT HITS HOLE-IN-ONE

The Georgian Grizzlies men's golf team played in their final tune-up on Monday when they took part in the Niagara Invitational hosted at the Niagara Grand Golf Club in Thorold.
It was a great day for Georgian's Luke Szent-Ivany.
The Pickering native matched the low round of the day finishing with a round of 71 to tie for first place.
Jeff Ash (Barrie) continued his find season shooting a round of 74 to finish in a tie for third place individually.
Georgian's Graham Port (Ajax) had arguably the highlight of the day by hitting a hole-in-one on the 11th hole. Port finished in a tie for 16th overall with a round of 78.
Georgian fielded two teams at the tournament with one coming in third place overall with a combined score of 311 and the other finishing tied for fourth with a score of 314.
The Grizzlies will next compete in the OCAA Championships which takes place Oct. 1-3 in London hosted by Fanshawe College at the Firerock Golf Club.
