GEORGIAN'S GOLF TEAM OPENS SEASON
Brady Zordan led the way for the Grizzlies with the top round for Georgian shooting a 71 to finish in a tie for 2nd overall at the event.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's golf team opened their 2018 season on Saturday when they competed at the Fanshawe Invitational at the Firerock Golf Club in London.
Georgian had two separate teams of five competing at the event with the top group finishing in a tie for third with a combined score of 303.
Individually the Grizzlies had strong showings from Brady Zordan (Midhurst) who finished tied for second with a score of 71 while teammate Jeff Ash (Barrie) shot a round of 73 to finish the day tied for sixth.
The Grizzlies will continue their season with a pair of events next week. First they will play in the Lakehead-Orillia Invitational on Wednesday in Orillia. They will then go back-to-back by hosting their own OCAA Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 20 at the Heritage Hills Golf Club in Shanty Bay.
