Over the past 15 years Georgian has been a strong contender at the PING CCAA National Golf Championships, with National Men’s back to back titles and a female national title.
Georgian Athletics provides a variety of services and programs for all students. We hope that you will find something that will enhance and balance your busy time while at Georgian. Currently Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound Campuses have on site fitness centres that are available to all full time students. We currently have or we are working on fitness centre partnerships with Orangeville, Collingwood, Bracebridge and Midland Campuses. The importance of a healthy mind and healthy body is a priority for our department.
Georgian College is also a proud member of the Ontario Colleges Committee on Campus Recreation (OCCCR). Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound provide intramural and club activities that also lead to and extramural competition with other OCCCR members. Our most popular sport is hockey for women and men. Clubs and special events are also ways to become active and involved with college life. College life embraces experiential learning that takes place outside of the classroom, we hope that you will join in and take advantage of the many events that take place at your campus.
